My Faith Looks Up To Thee

My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary, Savior divine!
Now hear me while I pray, take all my guilt away,
O let me from this day be wholly Thine!

May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart, my zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me, O may my love to Thee,
Pure warm, and changeless be, a living fire!

While life’s dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread, be Thou my Guide;
Bid darkness turn to day, wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray from Thee aside.

When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold sullen stream over me roll;
Blest Savior, then in love, fear and distrust remove;
O bear me safe above, a ransomed soul!

The God of Abraham Praise

The God of Abraham praise, who reigns enthroned above;
Ancient of everlasting days, and God of Love;
Jehovah, great I AM! by earth and Heav’n confessed;
I bow and bless the sacred Name forever blessed.

The God of Abraham praise, at Whose supreme command
From earth I rise—and seek the joys at His right hand;
I all on earth forsake, its wisdom, fame, and power;
And Him my only Portion make, my Shield and Tower.

The God of Abraham praise, whose all sufficient grace
Shall guide me all my happy days, in all my ways.
He calls a worm His friend, He calls Himself my God!
And He shall save me to the end, thro’ Jesus’ blood.

He by Himself has sworn; I on His oath depend,
I shall, on eagle wings upborne, to Heav’n ascend.
I shall behold His face; I shall His power adore,
And sing the wonders of His grace forevermore.

Tho’ nature’s strength decay, and earth and hell withstand,
To Canaan’s bounds I urge my way, at His command.
The wat’ry deep I pass, with Jesus in my view;
And thro’ the howling wilderness my way pursue.

The goodly land I see, with peace and plenty bless’d;
A land of sacred liberty, and endless rest.
There milk and honey flow, and oil and wine abound,
And trees of life forever grow with mercy crowned.

There dwells the Lord our King, the Lord our righteousness,
Triumphant o’er the world and sin, the Prince of peace;
On Sion’s sacred height His kingdom still maintains,
And glorious with His saints in light forever reigns.

He keeps His own secure, He guards them by His side,
Arrays in garments, white and pure, His spotless bride:
With streams of sacred bliss, with groves of living joys—
With all the fruits of Paradise, He still supplies.

Before the great Three-One they all exulting stand;
And tell the wonders He hath done, through all their land:
The list’ning spheres attend, and swell the growing fame;
And sing, in songs which never end, the wondrous Name.

The God Who reigns on high the great archangels sing,
And “Holy, holy, holy!” cry, “Almighty King!
Who was, and is, the same, and evermore shall be:
Jehovah—Father—great I AM, we worship Thee!”

Before the Savior’s face the ransomed nations bow;
O’erwhelmed at His almighty grace, forever new:
He shows His prints of love—they kindle to a flame!
And sound thro’ all the worlds above the slaughtered Lamb.

The whole triumphant host give thanks to God on high;
“Hail, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,” they ever cry.
Hail, Abraham’s God, and mine! (I join the heav’nly lays,)
All might and majesty are Thine, and endless praise.

Be Thou My Vision

Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art.
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.

Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.

Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.

Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of Heaven, my Treasure Thou art.

High King of Heaven, my victory won,
May I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Maple Story...:P

Lolz. Dunno what to write and I feel must update this blog lor...:P Lolz. The title says it all. One of my friends introduced me to Maple Story. I actually heard about it much earlier during secondary school days but didn't really bothered about it. Nowadays, I am exploring new game genres besides real-time strategy...so...why not try this childish looking, 2D side-scroller MMORPG? :p My friend gave me the game program (saved me hours of download) and I started playing Maple Story! What the....Ian playing Maple?? Ian is Mapling?? Yup...:P

Its like a whole new world in there with its own towns and people as well as the job classes of Beginner, Bowman, Warrior, Thief and Magician. I am a bowman....now advanced to 2nd job as a Hunter. Below is a picture of my character. Cool?? Cute??Even in a imaginary world, its not much different in than the real world. There are people who scam other players and some even hack into accounts. People scold you, use swear words to you, tell lies, etc. Yup. Exact replica of the real world. But I have met very nice people as well who helped me along the way to learn the in and outs of the game.

But I have to be careful myself as sometimes i feel sucked into the game...as in get too engrossed/addicted. like I said, because it is a replica of the real world, one is encouraged to think that the Maple world IS the real world...detaching oneself from reality and pouring oneself into the virtual world...a world made out of binary codes of '1' and '0'....a world that doesn't exist if the server crashes or a computer virus invasion occurs. some people go to the point of using real life money (yes...ringgit malaysia, singapore dollars) to buy something called A Cash which is used to buy special items in the game...items that do not exist...items you can only see but cannot touch and feel. I have not reached that point i do not want to. It is just a game...but it can be quite addictive...i spend 2-3 hours a day on it...sometimes more.

I have heard stories where school children play Maple until their school grades take a tumble..a testament to what I just said about maple. I have met players as young as 11 years!!! My goodness...i didn't even have stable internet connection then! Ask most of them any question concerning maple and they can answer you just like that. I am not schooling already...now waiting for university application. It is a good thing i found out about maple only after my A Levels. If not, my A Levels grades may be even worse...:S

Oh well..just some of my thoughts about maple. I have a feeling it applies to most, if not all, MMORPG's which create an alternate imaginery world to feed the fantasies of the younger generation till the lines of fantasy and reality and blurred. Anyway...here is my character again. I like it...quite cool and I always had interest in archery. :P Lolz.
Ooooo...beyond cool!!! Lolz!!! I'll update when i get nicer clothes and weapons:P

Thats me....

The person holding the bill is definately me.
How can I face You? How can I?
How can I even dare to bring the bill before You?
But You chose me even though You knew the bill I was bearing.
Thank You.
